Our store offers an AI shopping assistant named Sara. To make her replies relevant to your circumstances, she briefly looks at a few signals about your session — never your identity. She uses this information only to colour her tone and shortlist products; she never persists raw personal data.

What Sara observes per chat session

• Approximate location derived from your IP (country and city, never your street address)
• Device family, browser, and operating system parsed from your User-Agent header
• Browser-declared timezone, viewport size, and preferred language
• VPN/proxy indication (heuristic only; we cannot verify with certainty)
• A hashed copy of your IP address — the raw IP is never stored in this table

How Sara uses these signals

• To greet you in the right language and dialect
• To suggest products appropriate for your device and region
• To detect abusive automation and protect the chat for everyone else
• To improve Sara's reply quality through aggregate, anonymised review

How long these signals are kept

Session signals are stored in a single per-session record that is overwritten on every new chat turn. We keep the latest snapshot for as long as your chat session is active and for up to 30 days afterwards for safety review. Aggregated counters (such as how many chats came from a country in a day) are kept indefinitely but contain no personal identifiers.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your session metadata at any time by contacting privacy@asmaa.shop. You can also disable the AI assistant entirely by closing the chat panel — Sara never observes signals while the panel is closed.
